Requires DX5 patch. 
1. Dies about 5-10% of the
battles (restart and use continue to get back to end of previous
turn) 
2. Multiplay requires DX 6.1, so probably doesn't work (not
tested) 
3. Does not show on taskbar. If you switch applications, must
use alt-tab to return The base game installs fine. 
To install the patch: 
1. Download the version for directx 6.1 already installed
(otherwise it will try to install DX6.1) 
2. Modify registry to make it think you have DX 6.1
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Microsoft -> DirectX
InstalledVersion = 06 03 00 00 Version = "4.6.3.0" 
3. Install the patch 
4. Reset registry to previous values

Tried after installing BOTF 1.0.2
Gets to the gameplay screen with LOADING), then immediately dumps to desktop. Tried various Application Compatibility Wizard settings, to no avail. Worked under Win2K.

1.02 works fine you have to run in windows 2000 compatibility mode

Not compatible with XP if the 1.02 patch is installed, but it does work if a patch available here: http://www.members.aon.at/zelli/others.htm is installed.

Setting compatibility mode to Win2000 may also work.

Works fine under Windows XP with the latest patch when WIN2000 COMPATIBILITY MODE IS SELECTED

Cannot get it to install on Media Center Edition of XP. The setup.exe just sits in memory and doesn't do a thing. Tried with w2k compatibility mode and 1.02 patch same result.
