UltraBoard 1.62
Installation
a. Copying UltraBoard to your web server
1. Create a UltraBoard directory in your /cgi-bin.
2. Copy all files from UltraBoard source to your server.
b. File Editing
1. Open the UltraBoard.pl, UBAdmin.pl, Setup.pl
2. Look at the all variables lines, contains "Path".
(for example: $VarsPath="./Variables";
)
3. Change it to full absolute paths on your web server.
(for example: $VarsPath="c:/InetPub/wwwroot/cgi-bin/UltraBoard/Variables";
)
Attention:
You need to use "/
" instead DOS' "
"!
c. Finishing Up
1. Run Setup.pl, it will help you setup the UltraBoard 1.62.
2. At first screen again point out your full absolute paths with "/
".
(for example: Members Path (required) c:/InetPub/wwwroot/cgi-bin/UltraBoard/UBData/Members
)
3. If you want start UltraBoard after setup, don't forget remove "Close
the UltraBoard a While".
3. Ignore the permission settings, because NT handles this in a
different way of UNIX.
4. Play around with your new forum now!
