Download 11hwin.zip from http://www.tbyte.com/downloads/ 2.) Unzip it. 3.) Copy unzipped vwin32.exe and mss32.dll into the C:\GAMES\11H folder. 4.) Edit GO.BAT and change v32 to vwin32.exe; save. 5.) Double click GO.BAT and you are presented with the entry screen and music for 11th Hour just like from the old DOS days. **** Important Note: ***** The CD drive or CD/DVD combo drive must have "DMA ON" in order to play without trouble. When it was set to "DMA OFF" (i.e., PIO Only), the game constantly hung up and stopped. THis is somewhat counter-intuitive, but I have had no problems since. It is amazing that my original investment has been preserved. I didn't think I would ever be able to play it again. This and 7th Guest are still fabulous games for people who want to use their intellect for more than blasting away at "bad guys". |
