ConceivablyTech posted a news story that Rahul Sood, founder of Voodoo PC, former CTO of HP's gaming PC business, and now general manager in Microsoft's Xbox division, treated his Facebook friends this morning to a candid Apple/Microsoft Facebook discussion that began with a recommendation to use Apple notebooks.
Seriously? Is this Microsoft telling PC makers to use Apple products rather than their own PCs? Sort of. The discussion was started by Sood, who is known for his straight-forward thoughts and posts, but it would be a stretch to describe a personal status message as a company’s opinion. “Every executive in the pc industry should use an apple notebook. apple doesn’t just design products, they designed their business & process,” Sood wrote. My first reaction was wondering whether Sood’s desk would be cleared out this morning by the time he arrives for work. However, Sood’s comment was not a direct shot at Microsoft. It was criticism targeted at the PC industry, which just can’t duplicate the appeal of Mac notebooks and has failed to create unique and equally attractive computing devices over the past decade.
