Microsoft has announced it has lowered its annual fee to join its Windows Phone Dev Center from $99 to $19 permanently after offering it at the $19 as a special promotion this summer

From Neowin:
This is certainly good news for any interested developer that has yet to register for the Dev Center, although we do have to wonder how all those folks who paid the previous $99 price feel right about now.

Microsoft recently launched the Windows Phone App Studio, which allows anyone to make simple Windows Phone 8 apps via a web-based interface. Combined with the new permanent $19 Dev Center price, that should fuel the fire for a host of new Windows Phone 8 apps to become available soon.
