Windows 8 and Windows XP Shares Not Seeing Each Other

Recently purchased a new notebook with Windows 8. I now have 3 PCs on the network now, Windows 8, Windows Vista, and Windows XP. I'm using the workgroup name 'WORKGROUP' and simple file shairng is turned off and full permissions provided for all shares.

Greetings, I have Windows 8 Pro (64 Bit) installed on my desktop computer. No issues generally except for an inability to burn CD's or DVD's. Whenever I try, my system hangs and eventually freezes. This occurs when I use Roxio or LG burner or Windows Media player.

Windows 3.1, DosBox, and a game that requires a disk

I'm running DosBox 0. 74 with Windows 3. 1 all set up and ready to do. Windows works perfectly inside DosBox, and I even installed a game which I can easily get to and it starts without an issue. However, once the game starts, it requires a disk.

Hey, ive got a problem here. Im running Windows XP SP2 and trying to play NFS II SE. I installed it fine but when i go to play it i get up an error initgraphics - INITMEMMAN REQUIRED BEFORE INITGRAPHICS FILE c:\nfs2se\game\3rash\initgrf.

Hello, I can´t manage that NfS2 SE works on Win Xp. i always get the error message: ingraphics - INITEMMAN REQUIRED BEFORE INTGRAPHICS FILE C:\nfs2se\game\3rash\initgrt. c LINE 44 If i want to run it with an glide wrapper because i haven´t a 3dfx card.

Well, here I am again talking about DirectX. . . I downloaded a (not so) little file from today called nt4dx6. zip and it is DirectX 6 for NT, just like it says. It is probably alot like the DX5 hack, but I've yet to check it out so I don't know yet.

A few problems running Warcraft II Battle.net Edition on Vista

Greetings all. I'm at a loss what to do with this game. As a Windows 98/95/NT 4. 0 game it installed fine and launched fine. The problem is that I can't play campaign mode at all. The pre-mission briefing or whatever you wish to call it fails to play and the screen just remains black.

Return to Krondor & Betrayal in Antara- can't play

well i just finished Betrayal at Krondor and that was fun. Blast from the past. Thanks Dosbox for that. So now i have Return to Krondor and Betrayal in Antara CDs to play, but when I insert the disc from either game, a System Error box comes up, and says Cannot read from device.

Hope this question hasn't already been addressed (I checked pretty thoroughly). I just built a new pc to install and try the Windows 7 RC. Everything's new except an old dvd-rom. I burnt the iso to dvd and booted from it.
