To install the game, change the compatibility setting of the setup.exe file on the root of the CD to windows 95.
Once the install is done, find c&c.exe and change its compatibility setting to windows 95.

Make c&c95.exe compatible with Windows 95, run game and have fun.

Go to west wood studio to get a special patch for win 2K/XP
the game will run but no multiplayer

Works under these conditions:
1. Launch installer using Win95 compatibility mode.
2. Launch the game using Win95 compatibility mode.
3. Download and install CnC Gold XP patch from Westwood's website.
4. LAN play does not work.

.NET Server 3505. Using the Program Compatibility Wizard on the Win95 setting will allow this game to install; however, NO amount of fiddling with the PCW will make C&C work. The latest executable needs the 9x kernel to run.
