Actually, PowerVCR II works under XP, mostly. I'm having a problem with programmed recording. If I'm only recording one program while I'm away, it works great. But, If I try recording 2 nonconflicting programs, PowerVCR II will error. The first program will be fine, but the second program will keep recording until I shut it down creating a huge file that won't play.
