Received the follow messages:
1) Works
2) I recently reinstalled Windows 2K on my computer in order to freshly format my hard drive. In my previous incarnation of Win2K, Baldur's Gate ran perfectly. Since this second installation, the game is slow to start up, and starts up to a blank screen, followed by some more waiting and paging of the hard drive. User intervention with keyboard or mouse doesn't do much. In most cases the game just dies. In others, it pops up the error "Microsoft C++ Visual Runtime Error - BGmain.exe" before dying. I don't know what the problem is, as it ran like a charm before.
3) I saw the problem someone was having with BG about it crashes with the C++ error in BGmain.exe. I reformatted recently and the same thing happened to me. I found out that the save games somehow become corrupt. If I tried to load a save game I had before I reformatted it would crash BG. But If I started fresh with no saved games it would work perfectly.
