Grand Theft Auto Director's Cut was released in 1999 and includes the original DOS version of the game (released 1997) and a Windows 95/98 version.
1) The DOS version of the game doesn\'t work at all.
2) The Windows version starts normally and you can play the game but it pauses every couple of seconds making it unplayable. The frame rate is fast, too, and it would be perfect were it not for the pausing.
