As long as you apply the patch for Grim Fandango, it works without a hitch, no settings need to be changed. Make sure to enable 3d Hardware Support. You can make the game look great if you force Anti-Aliasing And Filtering in the Display Panel. I run with 16x Antro and 6x Anti-Aliasing at full frames through the whole game with no problems.

The game loads up and installs fine, however, about 20mins or so into the game when you first meet Glottis, the game crashes with errors.

Received the follow messages:
1) With the march 2001 compatability update (just released) grim fandango works perfectly.
2) Won't run under Windows 2000 SP2. Trying to start the game results in a "install directX" screen that can't be bypassed. If SP2 is uninstalled and the March 2001 compatibility update is re-installed, the game will run fine.
3) Will complain about DirectX version when run under standard install. Was able to trick it into running by running Grim.exe directly, but it crashes at the first conversation. However the game runs under Win2k SP2 if you do the following (played complete game under this setup): Select properties of the games shortcut. Select the 'compatibility' tab. Select 'Run in compatibility mode'. Select one of the two 'Windows 9x Compatibility Layer' settings from the drop down. Use the shortcut to launch the game.
4) I have sp2 running on W2K. With the new compatibility patch it works great, whereas it didn't work at all before.

Need dx5 patch. This
game doesn´t work on many display adapters. Please try the demo
first.
