I also posted #24132 (the previous).
I have been able to get it to work after installing all possible windows updates (including 2003 SP2) and not using compatibility mode.
I haven't had any major issues with the single player (unpatched, I think the patch might break it).
The multiplayer just has this never-ending spinning disk which seems to be a common problem on their forums across all operating systems (XP and Vista, both 32 and 64 bit).

Have not been able to get it working under 2003 Std SP1. Game installs, but it has an XP check at runtime. Compatibility mode has no effect.
Hopefully SP2 will pass the check.
