It works, but only with the drivers included in WinXP. These offer only basic functionality. The NT4-drivers from HP might work if you could manage it to install them.

Drivers
supplied with win2k (build 2195). The drivers work ... but they support
none of the features of PhotoRETII , which actually characterizes this
printer. The drivers are in fact even a lot slower then in Win98 using
HP drivers.
