I received the follow
messages:
1) The program halts with an error,
"MATLAB is not currently licensed". Looks like a problem with
the FlexLM license manager. Mathworks has no information on when they
will have a fix available.
2) I just saw on today's software
compatibility update that Matlab 5.3 was listed as not working on Win2K.
I have that package installed and working perfectly on my system. From
the description on the page it looks like the problem was with the
license server method of running the software. I have it working fine
installed with a license key code.
3) Matlab runs as good as in Win NT. The
first guy has obviouslya problem with the license connection if its a
network license. However, I have worked with Matlab versions 4, 5.1, 5.2
and now 5.3 since Beta 3 until now where I have retail version, and
Matlab is working great. Matlab is one of those programs which has
always worked better under NT than under W98
