you must edit the registry to get ip numbers to work
HKEY\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LUCASARTS ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY\
OUTLAWS\USERS\DEFAULT USER\WINSOCK\IP enter ip# here
Also try dos box
on old games install on xp no cd crack for OLWIN then export
registry then copy folder to win7 (32bit)

I tried all that and for some reason it locks down on me everytime i start it up.
I use A Geforce FX 5900, and it does not want to work with my
card.

with Direct3D patch, must disable "Render everything in one pass" and "Render overlays with 3d acceleration" to avoid mid-game crashes. To view cutscenes at normal speed, you must adjust your Hardware Sound Acceleration level (via DXDiag) to Standard or Basic. Not a critical fix, however, as you can bypass the cutscenes.

Singleplayer works fine -
multiplayer has many bugs -> backspace and punctuation don't work,
joining games is erradic and hosting games - many people even with low
pings can't join.
