I am trying to open panzer general of an original CD. I go to the windows compatibility wizard and use the win 95, 256 color scheme and I start it as an administrator. When I try to open it the first screen comes up that has the logo and the run button to the left and the uninstall button on the right. When I press the run button the screen simply flicks off and I am back in stupid vista. If I go the the game its self and try to install it with the new settings from the compatibility wizard that are supposed to be applied now every time that I run the program. The warning still says that I connot run this on a 64 bit OS. Is there anything that I can do? Help would be much appriciated.

Install game as normal and then go to the shortcut's properties. Under the Compatibility tab select Windows 95 under compatibility mode and select 'run in 256 colors'. It should now run.
You may have to create a shortcut to the installer on the CD and set the same compatibility options there.
