This software will work in Windows 7 and Windows 8. Here is how.
Make a directory on your hard drive PHOTOMAX. Copy the Software from the cd into that directory. DO NOT USE THE INSTALL FEATURE. After installing, go to that directory and right click on PHOTOMAX.EXE It will have a value of 2555kb. Send to Desktop, make a shortcut.
Go back to your desktop and click on that icon. Good to go if you installed all of the software from the original CD. Have used it for years.
Again, do not let the CD software install it. Do it as above.

I too have bought a Windows XP computer and I have this Polaroid PhotoMax softwear. I cannot install it either. I love this programe very, very much and was so easy to work with. I do not like the other softwears that I have purchased.
Why can't they make a new Polaroid PhotoMax softwear for Windows XP 2000? I use to restore my old photos so quickly.

I have this software, but since I've just bought a new Windows NT computer, I have not been able to use this software to download pictures from my Webster Scanner.
