If you are running the Quest For Glory I VGA floppy disk version, you need a special patch for it to run without freezing and with sound using VDMS. If you are unusure which version you have, if you get an "Unable To Initialize Your Audio Hardware" message when it first loads, even when running VDMS, or if it completely hangs at random intervals in the game, you need the patch. The Quest For Glory Collection CD version shouldn't need the patch. Get the patch at http://www.gamesdomain.com/patches/q.html
