Got this installed and running on XP - with a little fiddling - but I'd been contemplating re-installing my old Voodoo 1 card so I could play this properly in glorious Glide-o-vision... I'd tried Glide wrappers designed for N64 emulators but they kept crashing... but then I found:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=18883
Seems to work a treat on my setup (Nvidia Geforce FX 5900XT) and no crashes yet! Now just need to get the CD music working properly and the experience will be complete :)

I couldn't get this to install with WinXP Pro & SP2, until I found this very helpful comment in another thread:
make sure autoexec.nt is available in the C:\Windows\System32 folder as that is known to cause problems with older software. Copy it from 'c:\windows\repair', if it does not exists or is corrupted somehow.
Copied the file an dblow me if it didn't install & run 1st time! Now if only I could find a Glide wrapper that works with it...

Run the installer in Windows 98 compatibility mode. Game works fine with or without Win98 compatibility mode but its best to use the compatibility mode while playing so that the choice of screen resolutions is displayed correctly in the setup options. The game looks much better on modern graphics cards in 3dfx Voodoo mode by using a Glide wrapper (it does not support Direct3D or OpenGL) instead of the 256 colour software renderer.

It looked promising, in that the CD autorun and prompted for an installation language, but the installation failed immediately after that due to not being able to detect the type of the OS. Of course, this is not particularly a problem with the game, more so the installation, but if I can't even install it...
This is on XP Home Edition on a Toshiba Satellite 2410 laptop.
