Received the follow messages:
1) Installing SP1 broke TCP/IP on my system (Windows 2000 Pro). To fix it, I had to uninstall and reinstall TCP/IP. Now it works again.
2) It works fine BUT broke my TCP/IP stack. I had to uninstall and reinstall the TCP/IP stack to get my cable modem running again.
3) After installation my primary and logical partition on my second HD appeared to be merged together. They are both FAT32, and my extended partition has one logical partition that does not take up the whole extended partition. The drive showed up as drive d:. Any attempt to access it would result in a message box popping saying that the partition was unformatted, do I want to format it. All partitions worked fine before installation of the Service Pack. I rebooted to my Windows 98 partition and all the drives were read fine. Also my Win98 boot disk could see all the partitions correctly. The partitions were fine, but 2000 would treat them like they were one partition. Scandisk in 98 showed no errors on either partition.
4) Cable modem stopped working, and ZoneAlarm & BlackICE don't work correctly anymore
5) Worked great for me! No problems what so ever!
6) Windows 2k SP1 #disables# various personal firewall products. I have BlackICE and, the service is now disabled by w2k, after adding SP1. This is apparently a known bug.
The service is automatically stopped everytime it is started. This seems to be more a problem with NetworkICE's implementation of their service, rather than an SP1 bug, but it's annoying all the same. Basically if SP1 is not needed, anyone with BlackICE should wait for the newer version to come out from NetworkICE, before upgrading.
7) Do not install the version currently available, installing it instantly killed my internet connection (ADSL in France) and ICQ. Symptoms :
Internet : I can log in my account but browsing is impossible, no port is available to open a connection
ICQ : (version 2000a and 2000b) crashes at startup
System : All Icons are displayed in 16 colors
Uninstalling SP1 restored my connection but the rest stays the same Reinstalling Win2K (upgrade option) did not solve the problems either.
7) Everything is great except it broke ZoneAlarm.
