My copy does not run with a Geforce FX 5700.It says that the program can not allocate texture memory usage and exits to the desktop.

Thief II does work - You need to change the config (in the Thief II Directory) to allow Safetexturemanger (it involves taking off a ; at the start of the line) and it will work fine - sorry for being vague, I'm doing this from work and trying to remember how its done.
