ACPI support is still flaky under the beta version 2.0 BIOS. Installation of 2000 with ACPI support enabled with the beta 2.0 BIOS will yield CPU utilization that never falls below 80%. Disabling ACPI support and installing using the MPS hal fixes the CPU utilization problems, but the power saving features of ACPI are lost (among other things).

Only using one CPU, but W2K
properly recognizes it as an SMP board. Also works fine with a P3 chip,
no BIOS update required.
