The install files from disk had to be copied to disk, and then installed from the VTMR\setup folders setup.exe (the one outside the setup folder informed me that it was not compatible with X86_64)
Once installed the game seems to be running fine. The 1.1 patch applied, and all the game features seem to be working.
I have yet to test the 1.2 unofficial patch.

when you hit setup, a pop up tells you that the game will only run on win98, winME, win2000 and winXP
there must be a way to run it on 2k3.
i think the setup.exe points to an msi file. im not the best at this stuff but i tried making a shortcut for the exe on my desktop and setting compatibility to win2000 but it didnt work.
My computer configuration:
Athlon64 3200+
1GB RAM
NVidia 6600GT 128M PCI-E
Win2003 server sp1

Despite comments to the contrary in forums it seems to run fine with the 1.2 patch.

The installation poses no problems but a serious flaw. This is with the graphics. The screen is like broken coloured glasses all over the screen. A PIII Nvidia geforce 2 Mx 400 should send the game into cyberspace but is rather into subspace.
