This is a discussion about 100 % CPU Use with USB Network Adapter in the Windows Networking category; I always get 100 % CPU USE with my Linksys USB100TX adapter, whenever I try to use the web AND try to use my CD-ROM drive at the same time, what gives?

May want to try changing/up[censored] the driver. *scratches head* Got a regular NIC you can use? D-Link's DFE 530/538 NIC's are pretty cheap and work great!

OP
I noticed that my CD drives weren't making use of DMA mode, so I went into the BIOS and manually configured them for DMA mode, and now I don't get that 100 % problem. But I think I need a new CD drive, my 12x is just too old now, its starting to die.

Well, at least they're cheap to pick up...
