I have two PCs connected over a network, fresh, clean installs... And provided i undid everything that crap home networking wizard did the two PCs would hapily chat, share, print and even share an internet connection together. But all of a sudden they stopped working. Or they slowed right down to the point that double clicking something in a shared folder would cause explorer to stop responding.
i havent changed any settings, installed new software and the cables are fine.. (I can ping one machine from the other). And also, sometimes the shortcuts that windows makes of the network shares arent all there... some are missing and they wont come back unless i go and remake them myself.

Help appreciated...
