5.1 sound in win2000
This is a discussion about 5.1 sound in win2000 in the Windows Software category; I cant make it work under win2000. I have Creative Labs 5. 1 Digital and Inspire 5300 speakers. . . central speaker just wont work in DIVX or MP3. when I try self test in Creative Surround Centre it work perfectly.

In movies if they support 5.1 center speaker is only vocals (what people speak in the movies.)

I knew that, but somehow I make it work... after I reinstall win2000 it wont work... before reinstalling win2000 I had sound on central speaker even in winamp... I don't know what I've done before... Have I install some plugin which emulated 5.1 sound or what?
for me, i use creative audigy, and although it doesnt have the central speaker in winamp, u can go 2, for me, creative playcenter and then go to turn on CMSS. however, this is not perfect as the rear speakers are very quiet and "echoey" i just move my front speakers close together and that works fine.
