8 bit color depth

Hi, I've a problem! I'm using Xmanager to work on a remote mAchine with cadence, but it requires 8 bit color depth to work well. I tried to set Xmanager's propertyes forcing it to work with 256 colors, but without any result.

I think the problem is my video card, a SIS 730s, that doesn't accept 256 color formality.
Somebody can help me to solve this problem?
Thanks in advances

Can't help you with Xmanager.. never used it before. But I know that XWin32 and Cygwin/X (if you start it with -depth 8 ) work just fine with Cadence, and btw, Cygwin is free.

Or you could hope for upgrade.. Cadence 5.0 doesn't require 8bit anymore.. Thank God
