8-bit paletted textures?
This is a discussion about 8-bit paletted textures? in the Windows Games category; is there any way to make a GeForce 2 GTS support pass the 8-bit paletted textures test on Final Fantasy VIII for PC? i know this feature worked with my old Voodoo 3. . . you're telling me it doesn't work with a GeForce 2 GTS?.

For Final Fantasy VIII you don't need it to pass, it's not necessary.
With Final Fantasy VII on the other hand, you would need to download the TNT patch from eidos to get hardware acceleration to work. But then FF7 doesn't work on Win2k anyway....

OP
yeah, i don't need the support to play the game, but the graphics suck even more than they do with a Voodoo 3 ... there has got to be a way to fix that though
Try Disabling Direct 3d in directX It Should Show 8-bit paletted textures test A Pass And everthing else a fail.. but Dont worry SHould Work Perfectly for in Game Play!! Sounds Weird but try it Worked for ME
