And on what disk & partition do you have Win2k installed?
OP
On d:\ and win98 is on c:\ One hard drive 3 partitions.
Then your boot.ini should look like this:
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINNT
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect
You also need the following files in the root of your c:
ntldr
ntdetect.com
Good luck.

edit: wrong spelling of filename..

You just saved me about 6hours of installing software and tweaking.

It's always fun to help someone who takes Win9x/ME and throw it away
