A few small apperance questions.
This is a discussion about A few small apperance questions. in the Customization Tweaking category; In an early release of Whistler, beta 1 I think (maybe earlier), there was a colour scheme called Professional. It was a new look for Windows, similar to the normal look of Win2k, but it was white and like blue.
In an early release of Whistler, beta 1 I think (maybe earlier), there was a colour scheme called Professional. It was a new look for Windows, similar to the normal look of Win2k, but it was white and like blue. OfficeXP uses that colour scheme, and you can still see some of the scheme is you turn the Start Menu back to normal in XP (white and blue), but no where can I see the option to make the windows and toolbars follow that scheme.
Can someone help me with this?
Also, in that same version, there was a way to NOT have buttons on the tool bar. The buttons were flat and faded away at the end, into the next button. Only when you hovered over them did you see an outline. It looked really good and I'm pissed that I can't find it anywhere.
Also, how can I verify the version of DirectX in XP?

to see what DirectX you have installed go to control oanel switch to classic view and you will see an icon that says DirectX it will give you the info you want about DirectX.
..to check the version of DirectX in most every flavor of Windows
since the release of Win98se or possibly earlier, you can run the DX diagnostic utility which will test aspects of hardware/software which utilize DirectX.
To run the utility goto Start -> Run , and type 'dxdiag' (w/out quotes)
