A monitor that wont work properly
This is a discussion about A monitor that wont work properly in the Windows Hardware category; I recently bought a 19Inch monitor. . . . Compaq V90 The res on the monitor are 1280*1024 @ 85Hz 1600*1200@75 But after a re install the monitor would only work in 1280*1024@75Hz. . . . . If i try to go higher the screen only turns black.

The res on the monitor are
1280*1024 @ 85Hz

But after a re install the monitor would only work in

does anyone know what to do. and maby if i can fix it

What os / SP are you running. Maybe you running into M$ refresh rate problem. Check out http://www.xp-refresh.net/ There you can also find a bunch of tool to fix that. Did your monitor ever run at 1024*768@85Hz.
