AC97 or Vibra 128

Trying to work out whats better. I have a feeling it's the Vibra 128 but I'm not 100% sure. .

Yeah the Vibra 128 PCI is a tad better than your onboard AC97 audio codec. The AC97 codec gets the job done too, I don't think either supports more than 2 speakers or 3D sound, so really if you need an extra PCI slot you could take the card out.

yes a PCI card will be better then an onboard as it likely has more control options as oppsed to an onboard - but it also depends what u are using the sound card for.

I guess I'll stick with the Vibra 128. It's not like I'll have a shortage of PCI slots
