AC97 Tone Controls..

what is that fix to enable bass and treble options in Windows when it normally isn't available? It's called AC97 Tone Controls and there is a registry fix for it, but I can't remember where or how.

A quick Google search turned this up:

Open Windows registry by typing run regedit.exe and then choose Hkey_Local_machine/ System/ Current Control Set/ Services/ Class/ Media/ 0001/ config, then change "Allow Tone Controls for AC97" from 00 to 01 , save & re-boot.
