Well hello all Xp users just wanted to see if anyone else was having these weird problems with xp ? first off is I cant download anything off the web but maybe a tiny 3 k file (I can surf the web fine and check my email ) but if i try to download drivers or auto update Tribes 2 It just sits there as does nothing at all
I have waites up to 10 mins for a download or update to start and it never does , but like I said before it browses the web nice and fast
and if i try to join a Tribes 2 game online it will load the map about have way then just sit there (its like I cant take anything in but I can send out ) I dont have the firewall turned on in XP and security is on med-low , I am however behind a linksys router (worked fine in windows 2000) and have my pc networked with 2 win2k machines ,Also I went to the windows update to check for stuff there and my pc will not download the updates ,it will start but then just sit there as well and a security thing pops up and says file not found do you still want to download and if you click yes or no the updater fails uuughh! please let me know if any one of you knows how to fix this

I am on a AMD 950 with a MSI kt7 pro 2 a MOBO
and 512 mb of ram with geforce 2 gts and SBlive value card and
the network adapter is (according to XP ) a sohoware 10/100 card

there are no bangs or anything else wrong in devive manager

thanks ahead of time

Well, you need to make sure that the network card is set as the right one.
