Add/Remove Programs in Win2K

I've got a few redundant entries that refuse to leave the list no matter how many times I click remove. How do I get them off permanently. I've tried some registry cleaning programs yet they don't work either.

If you are certain that the application is actually uninstalled. Bring up regedit and do a find on the application name as found in your Add/Remove software listing. Delete the keys related to it. That will remove it from the Add/Remove listing.

you can also use TweakUi to remove the entries from the Add/Remove programs list if you know they are uninstalled.
the odd time that happens to me as well.

Thanks for the advice everybody. I manually removed the programs from the registry. Now my Add/Remove list looks much neater!

Yes I removed them using the regedit program. Is it dangerous using this program since you said "I've got guts"?

One thing that has worked for me is to just install the software in question, then uninstall it again.
