you are in luck:
Get you self a cd-bootable linux disk. (I believe 2k still uses FAT32 which means any linux cd-bootable will have read and write drivers.)
Boot up in Linux, and navigate to Windows directory
Find the screen saver (.scr) file that you use for your logon. By default it's logon.scr (Let's just use it as the example)
Also find cmd.exe
rename logon.scr to logon.bak
copy cmd.exe to make a copy, and rename the copy to logon.scr
Start back up in windows. Wait till the screen saver comes on...
I mean the cmd will show up
Here you can type:
net user *username* *new password*
*username* replace it with the administrator's user name
*new password* type a password you want to use
After that's done. exit
login
Change your password in windows.
