Advantages Of AGP x8?

Welp, apprantly my MOBO and GFX card both support AGP x8 or 8x (whatever ;P) so i was wondering. . . . are there any noticable advantages in enabling this option in my mobo? -Acid.

No noticebale performance gain.
 
Maybe as games require more memory bandwidth it wil come into play but as yet no noticeable imporvement, only around 5% MAX, 2%-3% normal gain usually.

But AFAIK there will never be a downside, so if both support 8x, you might as well enable it. Sure it may only be a few % some of the time, but it should never be slower...
