Hey ppl... ok I'm having some problems with this game..
I install the game properly and everything seems to be working just fine. Then I click the icon to actually start playing, and it takes sometime "loading" and then this message appears:
"Could not initialize graphics system. Make sure that your video card and driver are compatible with DirectDraw."
So... DirectDraw.. I thought ActiveX..
So I tried to download the last version of ActiveX... the 9c or something like that. It downloads a bit and after 3 minutes it appears a message "not found cabinet file - could not be trusted" something like that.
So I talk to a friend of mine that asks me if I have SP2 on my computer, and I dont, so there I go again and do the download of SP2... but now it says it cant update...
somebody help me please??

You mean DirectX.
Click Start-Run: write "dxdiag", without quotes. Goto Display tab. Make sure that the DirectDraw is Enabled not Disabled.
Then goto Control Panel->Display.
If you do not see Display, click Switch to Classic View.
Click the Settings tab, and then click Advanced.
On the Performance or on the Troubleshooting tab, move the Hardware Acceleration slider all the way to the right (the Full position).
Click OK, and then click Close.
If you are prompted to restart your computer, click Yes.
Try rerunning game.
If this does not help, then move the Hardware Acceleration one nod to left.
Retry.

Mak sure you are downloading it from microsoft.com.
Quote:1) Ensure that the "Cryptographic Services" service is running on your computer. To do this, open Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services. Select "Cryptographic Services" from the list of names. Right-click this service and select Properties. If the service is not shown as "Started", you can start it by clicking the Start button. You should also set the Startup type to Automatic so that it will be running when needed in future. Close the Services control panel and try installing the service pack or security patch.
2) If the "Cryptographic Services" service was already running, stop the service by clicking the Stop button, then using Windows Explorer, locate the folder C:/Windows/System32/catroot2 and rename it to something like xcatroot. Now restart "Cryptographic Services" by clicking the Start button, and try installing the directx.
3) If the directx still fails to install, stop the "Cryptographic Services" service again. Open a command prompt window (click Start, Run, type "cmd", without quotes and hit Enter) and then type the following commands:
regsvr32 softpub.dll
regsvr32 wintrust.dll
regsvr32 initpki.dll
regsvr32 dssenh.dll
regsvr32 rsaenh.dll
regsvr32 gpkcsp.dll
regsvr32 sccbase.dll
regsvr32 slbcsp.dll
regsvr32 cryptdlg.dll
Restart "Cryptographic Services" by clicking the Start button again.
Then try reinstalling directx.
