age of empires again

This is a discussion about age of empires again in the Windows Games category; i cant play age of empires II under win xp as user, but i can as administrator. theres the same problem with half life, but i can solve it running the program under win98 compatibility. what may be the problem?.

Hi,I've the same problem with AoE2 on win xp: "setup program is unable to find (or read) the language specific setup resource dll,unable to continue.please reboot and try again".obviously the problem remains.
