AGP Fast Writes in WinXP Pro

WCPUID reports that AGP Fast Writes are enabled in the BIOS but disabled currently in the OS, which I don't understand why. It is enabled in the BIOS. I didn't have this problem under Windows 2000 or ME, I am using Hercules 21.

WCPUID reports that AGP Fast Writes are enabled in the BIOS but disabled currently in the OS, which I don't understand why. It is enabled in the BIOS. I didn't have this problem under Windows 2000 or ME, I am using Hercules 21.81 detonators with my Hercules 3D Prophet 2 MX. I have a VIA KX133 motherboard, and the card is utilizing AGP 4x. The only way I can enable fast writes is by using the Hercules Tweaker program. But when I restart Windows, Fast Writes are disabled again.

The 21.83 drivers dont support fast writes in XP. I dont think any of their drivers for XP do yet

OP
Thanks for the information, it was driving me nuts. I installed my Hercules 14.10 drivers under XP and Fast Writes are working. Interestlingly enought the default MS drivers for XP have fast writes enabled too.
