This question may have already been asked so I appologize. Has anyone hasd any luck with the Reg file released by AMD for Win2k & the T-bird? I have the Asus A7V, & i've been having a lot of trouble with my machine locking up on me.

I just added the regestry key to see if it made any difference, so far so good.

What BIOS version for the A7V? If you don't already have it, flash your BIOS to 1007.
I've had the reg patch installed without any problems. Also, if you haven't already, having Service Pack 2 will help a lot. And the latest Via 4-in-1 drivers.
That reg patch should fix you up though.
But it is just for gaming.

Any more problems, post 'em here, and list all your specs too--or one related to it.

OP
You're right... I updated my signiture to include my info.

I did flash my BIOS to 1007, but got terrible repercussions. Win2k wouldn’t boot, & I couldn’t get it to repair either. When I formatted, & reinstalled Win98 & had problems is when I realized that could’ve been the problem. So, I’m not messing around with the BIOS. I do have SP2, yet the issue was still there. Now that I’ve added the reg key, it doesn’t lock up anymore, but my video performance went down the tubes. ...got all the latest drivers, 4in1’s etc. I’m stuck all over again.

Yeah, I figured out not to mess with the BIOS as much as possible.
Hmm. The Voodoo 3 might be better off if you get the latest drivers for it. Unfortunately, while it is a solid card, a lot of games seem too much for it I've noticed. About the only thing you can do is overclock it for a little extra performance, but that's it.

I reset the BIOS back to it's original settings, and changed very few things from then on.
