Everytime I am playing games (Quake 3) or movies with heavy duty graphics I get intermittent crashes, systems hangs (frozen screen) and crackling from the soundcard. I have tried the MS/AMD reg fix but to no avail.....

Any assistance appreciated :x

what drivers are you using for the audigy
and what drivers are you using for the geforce?
you have sp3 what about other windows updates.

I would recomend geting all the most up to date stuff that is possible
except the dets for your geforce
you should use the 30 series not the 40 series as people have been having problems with the 40s and the 30s are whql certified.
