Hello and thank you for reading...

If you would like to know what services that are required for your particular application and computer settings using Windows 2000 Pro? Head to:

http://www.blkviper.com/WIN2K/servicecfg.htm

for more information.

I have worked real hard at trying to keep the information accurate and I am also constantly up[censored] the page to add as much as I can, but it lists all the services for Windows 2000.

Direct links to two different configurations:

My internet gateway computer:

http://www.blkviper.com/WIN2K/servicecfg750.htm

My gaming system:

Hope this information helped! If you would like to pass this along, feel free, but please link to my pages outlined above.

Information on Windows XP Home/Pro is also available if you need it:

If you wish to contact me directly, please head to my web site and use the link provided. I RARELY check my "Hotmail" accounts...

Take care!

Don't disable the "RunAs" Service. I did that and it screwed up my Outlook Express.

OP
Hello!

I use OE and have no problems...with Win2k or XP with the "RunAs" service disabled. If you have different accounts and are using terminal services, you may need RunAs. But a "normal" user with only one profile does not.
Note, I also check 2 Hotmail accounts using OE and 4 Pop3's with no problems...
Take care!

As soon as I turned the service back on, all ran normally.

Hmmm,

How do you figure it did that? Do you use multiple profiles in your email setup??

P.S.=> I am curious why you'd state that, & can only figure it affected your using multiple user profiles/email accounts there... first I have heard of that happening, so I am speculating here, tell us all specifics on what "screwed up" means... apk
