Any good free DVD Players out there for Win2K
This is a discussion about Any good free DVD Players out there for Win2K in the Windows Software category; I have a laptop with 6x DVD, Gateway SOLO, (Don't have the part number here right now). 128mb RAM, PII 233mhz. Win2k. Does anyone know of any good (not overly bloated) free software for playing DVD's.

No. But you can obtain one and crack it. I do have legal copies of WinDVD, including an OEM version. Look at computer shows and you should be able to find the software for $20. I don't like WinDVD as much as PowerDVD, but I've never had problems getting WinDVD to run.
I like winDVD better than powerDVD but will a 233 really be able to run dvds without stuttering all over the place...i doubt it
The Laptop is on Dual-boot with Win98 which came with the laptop originally two years ago with DVD player software and i have played DVD's OK, though idon't want to have to reboot just to play a DVD:p
So OK i'll just get a crack then;)
Cheers
