So, I've come to rely on this and other forums and sites to help with my everyday workload. In the past two weeks however I've been unable to access ntcompatible.com from work and a trace route gives the results below. If anyone can tell me a cause for this I'll attempt to correct it, if I can that is

I've already talked to our corporate headquarters about this very same thing and they've discussed it with our T1 provider but so far no luck

You'd think so wouldn't you

Here's the rub, I did a trace route from home where I can get to the forums and lo and behold there's still a problem with some servers timing out. However I'm not having issues getting to the site from home but I am from work ;(

I've already asked corporate if we have filters on any of our branch firewall's and they aid no there aren't any so I'm at a loss here :x

Seems like a DNS issue. Perhaps ntcompatible.com 64.246.24.75 is in your hosts file?

64.246.24.75 was the IP address of the old server. The new server is running at http://66.98.158.201

Interesting, I didn't think about the hosts file, I use it for some other things but I'll check it out for sure

Thanks for the info

EDIT: Philip, thanks for the info. I just ran into the same problem once again but this time here at home. Strange cause this is an XP box and at work we use Win 2K for our wks. I'll have a look at any recent apps I installed and see what's up

EDIT2: Philip, found the problem. I installed the collection of apps/utils that APK(AlecStar) wrote and he has a really nice hosts file addition. Turns out he has the old ntcompatible.com IP address in there so I changed it to the new address and things appear to be working. I'll inform him of this issue
