Anybody know about a 'Crusoe' processor

Anybody know about this new CPU found in the latest Sony Viao laptop the PCG-C1VE. never heard of it, anybody else. Opinions please, Thanks, Scott.

Yeah, it's made by Transmeta.
 
It's meant to be compatible with x86 but only use a fraction of the power.

Coincidentaly [i don't know if anyone who cares doesn't already know], Linus Torvalds, the inventor of Linux, works for Transmeta. Maybe working on the Crusoe chip is what is stalling the release of the 2.4 kernel...?
