Anyone know what a WAN MINIPORT driver is?

This is a discussion about Anyone know what a WAN MINIPORT driver is? in the Windows Hardware category; I have it installed under Network Adapters, but it can't load the driver?

Sure I am wrong on this one, But umz maybe PPPoE driver, least I seem to remember mine being called that

You shold have 3
WAN Miniport (IP) "ndiswan.sys" MS WAN Wrapper Network Driver.
WAN Miniport (L2TP) "rasl2tp.sys" RAS L2TP mini-port/call-manager driver.
WAN Miniport (PPTP) "raspptp.sys" Peer-to-Peer Tunneling Protocol.
They use for Loacl Lan, Dail-up so down the line, the drivers are perinstall & start as soon you install NIC or Modem.
