Anyone.....windows update doesn't work.....why???
This is a discussion about Anyone.....windows update doesn't work.....why??? in the Windows Software category; I can do the Office Updates, so I did them all. But when I try the windows updates, it does nothing and usually stays at 0% done. Maybe 25% done if I'm lucky. What gives? Any alternative windows updates site(s) that work?.

Add an "s" after the http in the windows update address and it will take you to another update page which seems to solve the 0% problem.

Sorry, had to get into the next poster's comment on Microsoft's "woe's" in security (which seem to be getting levelled at Linux/Unix fronts now... which is good too! The poster didn't reply... I figured at least he was solved. Sorry, had to get into the next poster's comment on Microsoft's "woe's" in security (which seem to be getting levelled at Linux/Unix fronts now... which is good too! Gotta look at the "bright-side" of those hacker-cracker types doing what they do...)
