Anyway to get Heavy Gear 2 to work for Win2K?
This is a discussion about Anyway to get Heavy Gear 2 to work for Win2K? in the Windows Games category; I tried doing what the website suggested to fix it, but I had no idea what the heck it was talking about. does anyone know of a correct way to get Heavy Gear II to work for Win2K? I really love this game but don't want to resort to going back to Win98 or WinME.

Download and install the Windows 2000 Application Compatibility Toolkit v1.5:

Heavy Gear 2
Use QfixApp on Heavy Gear 2.exe and click "Win95VersionLie.dll"
Click the "Advanced" tab. Then click "Create attributes file".
Then go to the AppPatch folder in the Windows folder and click on Heavy Gear 2.reg
Now all you have to do is run the game like normal from the Shortcut!
Reinstall this .reg if you reinstall windows!
