APC- UPS and Serial Problem
Their support is not open on the weekend and Im stumped what else I should do. I just picked up a 10ft Serial cable for like $3 at this computer show today. I was originally thinking about getting a 6ft for a while but this seemed better.

I've got an APC Back-Up Pro 1400, Abit KT7-Raid board w/ Win2K Server. My problem is when the server is shut down and everything unplugged except for the serial cable.
I have all the pluggs unplugged w/ the serial attached. Once I hook it up to the server ( Or Vise~Virsa ) it makes a click sound. Sometimes the UPS will not power on at all; unless I reseat the cable on the UPS or It will power on. If it powers on the On-Line LED will be on as well as the On-Battery LED but the On-Line LED will shut off only leaving the On-Battery ON. It will give a series of beeps about every 30sec.
Im able to power on the server, but the On-Bat light is on still beeping. Since the On-Line is not on, Im guessing it's just running on the battery.
Ive left the server plugged and unplugged when attaching the serial cable and it only does just that.
